We are dedicated to supporting advocates and generously provide scholarships whenever possible to those in public service.
As of 2024, we have awarded nearly $40,000 in scholarships.
Who is a candidate for scholarship?
Anyone working in the public interest who can benefit from leveling up their Spanish: nonprofit lawyer, psychologist, volunteer, or student.
To apply, please submit a brief (no more than 2 pages) statement of interest addressing the following:

How will this program benefit your public interest practice?
In exchange for the scholarship, we expect you to support our small team as our on-site assistant in the following ways:
Welcome late arrivals
Take photos during the week’s activities & post to social media
Assist with preparation, set up, and clean up of events
Respond to other requests for assistance as needed.

The value of the scholarship is US$2500 and includes participation in the entire program: 3 hours daily Spanish instruction for 5 days, transportation to program events including visiting the nearby migrant shelter, daily breakfast & weekday lunches at the program house, one welcome dinner, one cocktail reception, round trip transfer to/from QRO or BJX airports and accommodation in the program house (either a private or shared room). Dinners are not included - except for the welcome dinner. We request that you contribute US$500 to cover the cost of your food, transportation and other expenses.
